Apple announced recently that they are only accepting credit or debit cards for iPhone purchases through the holiday season due to overwhelming sales. Each person who buys from Apple is allowed only 2 iPhones in a measure that is supposed to help ease the high demand. They are trying to discourage any resellers from cashing in on iPhones, when there are many people out there who really want one for themselves or as a gift.
An Apple spokesman, Alan Heley, from United Kingdom said, "Customer response has been off the charts." He also reiterated that the company looks down upon reselling iPhones, especially during this holiday season. It is expected that the iPhone will be a hot item this Christmas, especially since the price was slashed by $200. To read the full story, check out Bloomberg online.
