Just a couple of days ago, the iPhone was unveiled for sale in the United Kingdom and Germany. Apple is hoping that it will be as successful, if not more successful than in the United States.
The United Kingdom's cell phone carrier is O2 and the German carrier is T-Mobile. By 5 PM on November 9th, Germany had sold more than 10,000 phones in over 700 different stores. O2 declined to say how many phones they sold.
One man in London even waited 26 hours outside to get a chance at an iPhone. Lucky for him, he was the first person to purchase one at that store.
At the end of November, France is supposed to be the next European country selling the iPhone. The carrier will be Orange Wireless.
