Fortune Magazine just came out with it's list of 25 most powerful people in business. It's no surprise that Steve Jobs would be in the top 5 or 10. He actually beat out Bill Gates and Rupert Murdoch, to place number one in the list. He has a 30 year career in business and he has helped shape what technology is commonplace today.

In 1997, Apple created the Apple II, which jumpstarted the PC boom. He has also helped create the laser printer, "desktop publishing" and even Pixar, the computer-animated film company (think, Toy Story or Finding Nemo).

In more recent history, he has revolutionized how people listen to music and watch videos, creating the MP3, iPods and the iPhone. It's no wonder this man has attained status as the top businessman. To read more about this story, check out Fortune.

Firefox 3 Beta Edition is now available for download. You can Download Firefox 3 Beta here. It will be interesting to see which browser wins out in the hearts of Mac fans worldwide.  Safari 3 has shown improvement, and the fact that Apple chose to release a Windows version to inspire more app development for iphone shows that Apple is serious about expanding the reach of Safari. Firefox, however, has grown rapidly over the last several years and enjoys a huge usership backed by Google. The latest Firefox 3, although still in Beta, shows a lot of promise. One of the most striking improvements is the more efficient use of memory. A lot of the RAM leaks in the previous Firefox have been plugged and Firefox 3 is lean and mean. The first thing you'll notice upon taking Firefox 3 for a test drive is the lightning quick browsing speed, and the incredibly fast rate at which images are downloaded. All in all, it looks like 2008 will probably be a great year for Firefox, and it will be interesting to see if Safari can keep up the pace.
